Oatmeal and Chocolate Chip Cookies - Amasheeka


Mim’s favourite as personally endorsed by Amasheeka.

Ingredients

1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
2 ½ cups oatmeal
1 ½ cups chocolate chips
½ cup raisins

Directions

1. Cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar
2. Add 2 eggs and vanilla
3. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
4. Mix all the above ingredients together, and add oatmeal
5. Now add in chocolate chips and raisins.
Roll into 1-inch balls, press down to flatten a little. Bake at 375˚ F, 8-10 minutes. After baking, let cookies sit on cookie sheet 4-5 min. before transferring them to a cookie rack to finish cooling.
Be creative. Try using ½ cup each of white, milk, and dark chocolate chips or substitute pecans for raisins or use both! This cookie dough also freezes well.
