Flank Steak - Oma


This recipe came from a great cookbook by James Beard.

Ingredients

½ cup sweet soya sauce
juice of 1 lemon or dry red wine or sherry
grated fresh ginger
grated garlic
handful of chopped parsley

Directions

1. Marinate the steak in the sauce for several hours, turning often
2. Leave in fridge until last minute
3. Broil 5 minutes each side
4. Use a very sharp knife, held at an angle (almost flat) and slice diagonally. The slices should be very thin and the meat should be rare inside.

Serve the hot slices on toasted and buttered French bread.
