Cheese Scones - Matthew


Ingredients
2 cups flour
2 Tbsp sugar
3 Tbsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
¼ cup butter
¾ cup warm milk
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
½ cup grated cheese (your choice)
¼ cup small cubes of strong orange cheddar cheese
Directions
1. Turn oven on to 400˚F.
2. Sift together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
3. Crumble in the butter with hands.
4. Add cheeses and mix thoroughly.
5. Add milk and mix just enough to hold it together
6. Roll out to 1-inch thickness. Then cut out biscuits using a floured glass, and place on greased pan (or line pan with parchment paper) and let stand for 5 minutes.
7. Bake at 400˚F for 12 to15 minutes, until golden brown.

Serve warm with butter and maple syrup, jam, your favourite topping…or cheese.J
